The dandelion leaves are part of a true championship of the naturists
in time of spring. There is almost no written work more or less scientific
on naturalist theme that does not include the dandelion. The dandelion
cure can last 5 or 6 weeks in spring. It is recommended to all the ones
who wish to make a true spring cleaning into their organism and want
to set their blood into motion. Experienced naturalists believe that
for the spring cure the whole plant can be used, because in this moment
of the year the plant is totally traversed by fresh juices and saps.
One of the most used products obtained from the dandelion is the juice,
a true medicine, accessible and easy to use especially if it is combined
with the juices of other better tasting plants.
1. Dandelion and honey
The scheme of this recipe is not available only for dandelion. It can
be applied even in the case of other medicinal plants with food value.
The result is a wonder-macerate. We observe that the recipe is remarkable
not only for the fact that it is very healthy, but also for the fact
that the three components, honey, dandelion and sweet basil have certain
aphrodisiac properties. Ingredients: We shall use 250 grams dandelion flowers, 1
kilogram of honey, and one string of sweet basil. Cooking: The dandelion flowers
are well cleaned and washed, after which they are put into a glass container
or an enameled can. Together with the flowers a string of sweet basil
is added, for the flavor and not only that. Honey is poured in such
a manner that the dandelion flowers are completely covered. The container
is very well closed and left to macerate about a month and a half, in
a dark and chill place. After the maceration period has passed, the
flowers are pulled out of the honey and consumed. The preparation left
after the flowers are removed is valuable from the nutritive and medicinal
point of view because it contains everything that has been extracted
from the dandelion flowers and basil during the maceration process.
We pour this preparation into bottles and over it in every bottle we
pour a small cup of alcohol. We seal these bottles well and keep them
for consumption during winter. Instead of sweet basil, we can use a
savory stem and we can add a hand of chamomile flowers to the dandelion
flowers. We will obtain special tastes and effects.
2. Dandelion salad with green onion and ham
This salad takes benefits as seen in the title of a surplus of proteins.
Ingredients: a quarter kilo dandelion flowers (fresh and tender), 50-75 grams of
bacon, a spoon of vinegar, 2 – 3 strings of green onion. Cooking: After
the dandelion was intensively washed it is left to drain and then finely
minced. The same is done with the onion. The bacon is cut finely as
well. Everything is mixed in the bowl for the salad and after a spoon
of vinegar is added they are mixed again.
