Dish
recipes that use ginger
Hindoo or Caribbean cuisines aren’t the only ones that use ginger
when cooking. Europeans use it either. Actually, ginger in food makes
you feel more positive and in a better state of mind, not necessarily in an aphrodisiac way, but even as a general state of mind. Next, we will present you
with some recipes that may prove to be both accessible and useful:
1. Ginger bread men: This is a recipe with a British
background.
Ingredients: 150g flour, a whisked egg, 2 spoonfuls of sugar,
1 spoon of margarine, 1 scoop of cankered ginger, 1 scoop of sodium
bicarbonate, aprox. 25grams of honey or honey syrup, raisins, some salt,
comfit cherries.
Cooking: First of all, heat the oven, but do not overheat
it. Use some fat to oil 2 cooking trays. Put the flour in a bowl, and
then add salt, ginger and bicarbonate. Next, in a small pan, mix syrup,
sugar and margarine and melt them on easy fire. Let the mix cold and
pour it over the flour bowl. Add the whisked egg, then mix and start
kneading the composition. Then, stretch the dough in a thin layer and
cut it in any shape you want (men, animals, stars). The, using the raisins
and the comfit fruits, make the eyes, the mouths, the buttons. Put them
to bake and... That’s it. The ginger bread has a good taste and
you can use them with drinks... like red wine or something like that.
2. Ginger and cider pork: This is an Irish recipe
and, as almost any Irish dish, it is very good and tasty.
Ingredients: 2 pork files, 1 glass of cider (125-150ml), 2
cloves of garlic, one peeled, sliced, ginger roots, half-spoon of butter,
half-spoon of cream, salt, pepper.
Cooking: Start by preparing the pork files. Several hours
before actually starting making the dish, cut the meat and prepare it
with a kitchen hammer. Put the meat slices on a plate, pour the cider
over and cover them with the crushed garlic and the slices of ginger.
Let them rest for several hours. Several hours later, start by melting
the butter in a fryingpan. Afterwards, put the meat slices in the pan
and let them fry. After that, put them in a covered bowl to keep them
warm. In the sauce that remained from frying the meat, put everything
that left in the plate you kept the meat before frying it. Add the pepper,
salt, pour the cream and put the mix on fire until it gets thicker.
This sauce will be used with the meat when served. Ornate the meat with
tomatoes and spinach. Eat it while it's hot. Bon Appetite!
3. Ginger Beer: Beer is known as an anti-aphrodisiac,
because of the hops it contains. In time, it decreases the sexual impulses.
Well, beer can be changed, by using ginger.
Ingredients: aprox. 25grams of ginger roots, 450grams of sugar,
one spoon of yeast, one spoon of tartar cream, one lemon.
Cooking: Cut the ginger in small pieces and put it in a
bowl, along with the sugar, tartar cream, the juice and the skin (in
small pieces) from a lemon. In the same bowl, pour aprox. 4.5l of boiled
water and mix with a wooden spoon. Put all this mix on fire and, when
it is warm, prepare the yeast. Dissolve it in some warm water and add
a scoop of sugar. When this mix start growing, pour it in the bigger
mix on fire. Let it one day to ferment, and then put it in bottles.
Cover these bottles well, and then keep them in a dark and cool place.
